I heart UNIT

I knew I left out something yesterday.

I really like UNIT. I haven't seen any classic episodes with them but they seem nice. Or at least nicer than pre-Harkness Torchwood. They actually REALIZE that the Doctor means good and he's not the enemy. They even want to take orders from him. HOW CUTE IS THAT.

And I love their theme. I love Murray Gold. (Okay, that's another topic...)

I adore Murray Gold. I mean, you take the wall scene in Doomsday, the end of FoB, the scene where Martha's walking down the room & The Masters funeral pyre scene in LotTL, The Song Of The Ood.

The music makes them.

But, he is an evil bastard who likes to make already heartbreaking scenes even worse. I haven't hated a composer this much since Christophe Beck XD

They actually remind me a lot of each other. Not because they have the same sound, but because of the sheer poinicany [I fail at spelling] of their scores.

But, to be honest, I think Beck went a version too far with Close Your Eyes XD even if it is beautiful.

UNIT isn't UNIT without the Brig. I really recommend that you watch Time Warrior. Classic Sontarans, classic UNIT, The Brig, Sarah Jane Smith and the Third Doctor. Its well worth a watch.
