Journey's End: "thoughts" + HAPPY PICSPAM

Cannot rewatch it yet so this is based on what I remember.

I still don't really know what I think about this episode but (in no particular order):
  • JACKIE! MICKEY! YAY!
  • Donna/Jack was/would have been adorable
  • I'm so shipping Martha/Jack right now
  • Mickey and Martha heading for Torchwood! Yay!
  • Unexpected!Naked!Ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Two Tens! And a Doctordonna! (Jack, you don't have to tell us. We all want a foursome with them.)
  • DOCTORDONNA IS MORE BRILLIANT THEN EVER
  • OMG GERMAN DALEKS WHO SPEAK GERMAN! Exterminieren! Exterminieren! Halt! Sonst werden wir Sie exterminieren! Sie sind jetzt ein Gefangener der Daleks! Exterminieren! Exterminieren!
  • ONE BIG HAPPY MOMENT WITH THE ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY IN THE ONE BIG HAPPY TARDIS. BEST SCENE. EVEN BETTER THAN TEH SCENE.
  • TEH SCENE: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HE TOLD HER HE LOVES HER. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW MY OTP KISSED! SORT OF. I MEAN ARE THEY REALLY MY OTP? I don't know if I should be sad or happy. In my head Rose and Blue-Suit-Ten will have an awesome life together and they will be very very happy. On the other hand, Brown-Suit-Ten has no Rose. And here comes the worst:
  • NO DONNA NO! :(((((((((( I don't know, I may have felt better if she really died. I mean she's dead, OUR DONNA is dead so maybe she should have died PROPERLY. I dunno. Either way I'm crying my eyes out.
  • The Doctor telling Sylvia that she's a rubbish mother was very appreciated by me.
  • RTD, YOU FUCK UP MY MIND, HEART AND SOUL BUT I BLOODY LOVE YOU.
  • PS. I love Phil Collinson and Julie Gardner but I want a PROPER commentary with the actors. Please release a new one on the DVD.
  • PS2. I need the S4 soundtrack like RIGHT NOW.

I commend you on this, I can't even do a reaction this coherent yet. I'm reeling but I ship Martha/Jack like woah. (Well, I'm shipping Martha/everyone and Jack/everyone at this point but that's okay.) and they're BFF and HE ADORES HER and I love them so very much and MICKEY SMITH ILY.

Donna Noble broke my heart and I think I'm crying again just thinking about it. The malfunctioning in the TARDIS and her breaking down and "Right, bye." and Wilf at the end and OMG I'M SO TOTALLY CRYING AGAIN ;______________;

I ship Jack/Ianto, Jack/Ten, Jack/Sarah-Jane, Jack/Jack (from the CJH episode) and Jack/Martha. It's awesome.

I kinda ship Martha everyone too. It's awesome and shiny.

I'm now watching The Doctor Dances because it restores my faith in the world at large because "Everybody lived, Rose. Everybody lived." It kind makes me emo because I MISS NINE ;_____; but I'm all for having my faith in certain characters and THE WORLD IN GENERAL restored.

I might go watch City Of Death after it because Y HALO THAR FOUR AND ROMANA IN PARIS.

I watched TEC/TDD just before rewatching TSE and then watching JE cause it was on BBC Prime. The only TV channel in Hungary I can bear to watch. ♥

Martha/Jack - Best Friends Really Are Forever in Jack's Case

I said it in my review for "The Stolen Earth", Jack flirts with everyone but when he flirts with Martha, you can feel the genuine affection and respect. They're part of a very select group, people who remember the Master and the Year-That-Never-Was. They're just so good together. *sigh* If I didn't love Tom Milligan so much, I'd ship them no problem.

I loved the Martha-Rose-Doctor threesome!hug! XD

And yes, if only they could all stay in the TARDIS and travel with him forever. *sigh*

Did you notice Second Doctor took Rose's hand in the exact same way she took Ten's when the TARDIS was being destroyed? Little bit of human empathy there. I really hope they have a fantastic life together but they will many issues to work out first.

this whole goodbye-scene was strange. in a way i was happy that Rose finally got Ten, but it's not her Ten and real!Ten will be alone and IT MAKES ME SAD :( but Rose's Ten at least could say it out loud. that's a point for him.
Donna was brilliant. she didn't deserve and ending like this.

I love this episode to pieces, and I know exactly what you mean, the beach scene was hard to judge, whether to be happy or not.

On the whole, I'm happy. It's tragic and awful for our Doctor but realistically it's the best ending we could have gotten that remains in keeping with the show and what it is.

Rose and Human!Ten will have such an awesome life together :)

Also, yeah I need the soundtrack right NOW. Some wonderful music.

And as for the commentaries, I'm certain they're saving ones with the actors for the DVDs because the last 3 episodes podcast commentaries haven't featured any of the performers. It'll be hard to surpass the Last of the Timelords commentary (I love it a bit more than the episode itself) but I think they'll do it :)

I still get all teary eyed thinking about the episode. Especially Wilf's monologue. But I'm a bit mad at BrownSuit!Ten. He was stupid not to say goodbye properly.

And agree, Donna should have died. This was just degrading. She deserves better! She deserves to know how awesome she is!!

Maybe he just didn't want to make it any worse to Rose (and himself)? It bothered me too but I guess he had his reasons.
